The Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) is a structured, repeatable movement based diagnostic system that is used as part of your assessment by our Physiotherapists and Chiropractor at Kinetica with all of our patients experiencing pain.
It is based on assessing 7 fundamental movement patterns and integrates a concept known as Regional Interdependance - how seemingly unrelated problems are actually driving the dysfunction and causing pain.
By understanding which patterns to assess further the clinician develops a roadmap to your rehab, identifying mobility versus motor control dysfunctions. This allows us to create a more efficient treatment plan.
